Yaya Foundation Hosts Family Call with Leading 4H Expert

The latest #4HLFamilies call hosted by the Foundation included special guest and leading 4H Leukodystrophy expert, Dr. Genevieve Bernard. Following brief introductions by everyone, Dr. Bernard helped welcome more than twenty families to the special discussion on current 4H research, possible 4H research pathways for the future, and the spectrum of 4H phenotypes. Plenty of time was left for Q&A. Due to the intimate nature of the discussion, this call on November 21, 2021 was not recorded.

The Yaya Foundation also shared a Save The Date for its upcoming 4H Leukodystrophy Family & Scientific Conference being held at McGill Children’s Hospital in Montreal on April 22-23, 2022. The conference agenda is currently being planned in partnership with leading 4H experts Dr. Bernard from McGill Children’s Hospital, Dr. Nicole Wolf from Amsterdam University Medical Center, Dr Adeline Vanderver from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and with critical input from families affected by 4H. As mentioned, the Foundation intends to sponsor research clinic appointments two days before and two days after the conference.
